zipdecode

This project began a very short sketch (a few hours) that I created
because　I was curious about how the numbering works for zip
codes in the states.

This version adds several features over the original, including
zoom, some new colors (thanks to Eugene Kuo for suggestions),
and a better zip code database (because of all the people
who emailed and were sad that they couldn't find themselves).

キャンドルスケープもそうだけど、zip codeにはロマンがあると思う。

共通のコードを利用する人々の”都合”で情報整理された土地。

google mapでバッチリ自宅がチェックされちゃうようなご時世には、
緯度経度のように平坦な整理の仕方もあるのかもしれない。

されど、たくさんのモノが行き交う場所には、
他の場所より細かな区分が存在するzip code。

「モノを届けたい」という人の営みに基づいて区分けされるzip codeは、
私たちの人の軌跡のように思えて、とっても尊いなぁと思ったりする。
エゴイスティックだとも言えるけど、今夜はロマンとしておこう。
